HYPE SECURES WORLD POLO CONTRACT
Hype is pleased to have secured the contract to work with Hong Kong based company IME on the inaugural World Polo 'Polo in the Park' event to be hosted at The Hurlingham Club, Fulham between the 4th and 9th June 2009. Daniel Fox-Davies is the brainchild behind the new concept which is likened to what Twenty 20 did for cricket. The World Polo Series Polo rules have been updated to provide spectators and television audiences with the ultimate high-octane entertainment. Daniel's vision to take polo to non established venues throughout the world will revolutionise the game and plans are under way to host international events throughout the world including Asia hence the appointment of IME who have operated the Hong Kong Sevens rugby for a number of years. Daniel said ' Polo has been due a makeover for a number of years. It wasn't a question of 'when', but a question of 'how long' before one of the polo organisations took steps to rejuvenate the game and bring it in keeping with modern technology and changing social interests. By bringing polo into Central London, on both a weekend and a weekday, we have truly established polo as a corporate hospitality platform. Appointing Hype to work with IME was the obvious choice given Hype's position as one of the UK's leading event companies. Coupled their proven track record at polo events including working with Chinawhite on its ' Rock The Polo event' they are the perfect European partner to work alongside IME
